Police are looking for help finding a pair of burglars who reportedly were discovered in the kitchen of a home on Naperville’s far southeast side one recent Monday morning.
A homeowner in the 2200 block of University Drive told responders that just after 10 a.m. Nov. 3, he confronted a young man and woman who had rung his doorbell repeatedly and knocked on a door and window before forcing their way into his home. The two fled after encountering the homeowner and were seen climbing into a white pickup truck that then headed east on University.
The suspects are described as a thin white man in his 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with dark brown hair, wearing a black jacket and a black or dark blue baseball cap; and a white woman with a “chunky build” whose dark brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a blue jacket and a dark-colored stocking cap.
Anyone with information about this incident or the suspects is asked to contact the Naperville Police Department at 630-420-6664 or Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006.
