Wednesday, Oct. 22
1 Lost items: A person reported losing a brown leather Coach wallet containing $400, two credit cards, a driver’s license, a wedding ring and a necklace in the 900 block of W. 75th Street. Total value of the missing items was estimated at $2,420.
Thursday, Oct. 23
2 Failure to yield: An unidentified driver was ticketed at 7:50 a.m. for failing to yield the right of way after pulling out of a driveway into the path of another vehicle near Ogden Avenue and Raymond Drive.
Friday, Oct. 24
3 Theft: Sometime between Sept. 10 and 8:30 a.m. someone reported spare tires were stolen from the first block of Shuman Boulevard.
4 Firearm surrender: Around 9 a.m., a resident in the 14000 block of Clyde Drive turned in a .22 caliber long rifle, ammunition and shotgun primers for destruction.
5 Driving too fast: An unidentified driver was ticketed for failure to reduce speed/driving too fast to avoid an accident at 10:52 a.m., after causing a collision with another vehicle near Ogden and Jefferson.
6 Driving too fast: At noon, a victim reported a minor accident earlier in the day at Aurora Avenue and Fort Hill Drive.
7 Improper lane usage: An unidentified driver was cited for improper lane usage at 1:57 p.m., after sideswiping a parked vehicle in the 100 block of S. Washington Street.
8 Uninsured vehicle: An unidentified driver was cited at 2:05 p.m. for driving an uninsured vehicle, after backing into a light pole in the 100 block of N. Wright Street, knocking the pole over and exposing electrical wires.
9 Other moving violation: An unidentified driver was cited for an unspecified violation after causing a rear-end collision at 2:17 p.m. near Ferry Road and Route 59.
10 Hit and run: Someone reported their side mirror was damaged at 2:37 p.m. by a passing car in the first block of S. Eagle Street.
11 Driving too fast: An unidentified driver was ticketed at 2:43 p.m. for failure to reduce speed/driving too fast to avoid an accident, after striking another car near W. Ogden and N. Mill Street.
12 Marijuana possession: Daniel J. McCormack, 19,1800 block Leabrook Court; charged with possession of paraphernalia and marijuana, and resisting a police officer, at 6:51 p.m. in the 1600 block of Estate Circle.
13 Improper lane usage: Unidentified driver cited for improper lane usage at 8:41 p.m., after causing property damage on private property in the 1800 block of Abriter Court.
14 Driving too fast: An unidentified driver was cited for failure to reduce speed/driving too fast to avoid an accident at 9:22 p.m. after a crash near North Aurora Road and Route 59.
15 Marijuana possession: Giovanni D. Aranda, 21, Chicago; cited for possessing less than 30 grams of marijuana and failing to yield turning left after a traffic stop near Jefferson Avenue and Route 59 at 10:01 p.m.
16 Speeding: Nathan E. Miller, 18, Plainfield; charged with speeding in excess of 35 mph over the limit at 10:48 p.m., after he was seen driving 106 mph near Bailey Road and Plainfield-Naperville Road, in a 45 mph zone.
17 Marijuana possession: Luis F. Hernandez-Rodriguez, 20, 700 block Inland Circle, and David Rodriguez, 19, Aurora were ticketed for having fewer than 30 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia at 11:56 p.m., after police responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 700 block of Inland Circle.
