Police Report: Graffiti found on utility box

These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.

Tuesday, Oct. 21

1 Theft: Before 10:33 a.m., three pairs of designer sunglasses were stolen from an unidentified business on the 2800 block of 95th Street.

2 Battery: A 26-year-old woman reported about 5 p.m., fellow employee “punched her in the face with no former provocation” at Walmart SuperCenter, 2552 W. 75th St.

Wednesday, Oct. 22

3 Suspicious incident: About 12:22 a.m., “two male subjects observed inside storage container” on 900 block of East Ogden Avenue; subjects then “left scene without locking up container.”

4 Trespassing: About 7:19 a.m., homeless man or woman found sleeping on west side of city of Naperville public parking deck, 43 W. Van Buren Ave.; subject warned not to return to Van Buren or Chicago avenue parking decks, and given information about homeless shelters.

5 Unlicensed driver: Douglas A. Reiners, 33; 7:40 a.m. near Encina and Whispering Hills drives; charged with driving without a license and driving without insurance.

6 Warrant: Shaianne P. Williams, 20; 9:42 a.m. on 1500 block of Bond Street; taken into custody on arrest warrant.

7 Vandalism: Before 10:29 a.m., graffiti painted or printed on city of Naperville utility box on 700 block of West Fifth Avenue.

8 Bicycle vs. vehicle: Just before 12:09 p.m., bicycle struck vehicle near Ogden Avenue and Columbia Street; bicyclist suffered unspecified injuries; cyclist also charged with failure to yield right of way.

9 Theft: A 58-year-old woman reported between 4:55 and 5:40 p.m., theft occurred on 2500 block of West 75th Street.

10 Vehicular burglary: A 40-year-old man reported that between 5 and 7 p.m., unspecified medication stolen from unlocked vehicle parked on 600 block of Raymond Drive.

11 Revoked license: Jose Montiel-Rocha, 32; 10:02 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and Royal St. George Drive; charged with driving for second time or more with a revoked license.
