Naperville Police Report: Hit and run, Christmas lights stolen

These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.

Saturday, Jan. 3

1 Criminal damage to vehicle: A verbal altercation took place in the first block of Van Buren Avenue at 1:43 a.m. The altercation escalated to the point where a male offender punched the passenger-side rear window of a 1998 Volvo causing it to shatter.

2 Warrant: Patrick W. Kuchenbecker, 28, of the 700 block of Buttonwood Circle; arrested on a warrant in the 1400 block of Ambleside Circle at 3:01 a.m.

3 Criminal trespass to land: Scott J. Belford, 39, of the 1500 block of Marquette; charged with criminal trespass to land in the 1500 block of Marquette Avenue at 12:38 p.m.

4 Victim of suspicious incident: A college professor in the 1300 block of Goldenrod Drive reported receiving a harassing phone call from an unknown student at 3:30 p.m.

5 Unwanted subject: A female arrived at a residence in the first block of Oak Bluff Court at 4:08 p.m. and was asked to leave. When she would not leave, the resident called police, and the female subject left without incident.

Sunday, Jan. 4

6 Misrepresentation of age by a minor: A minor male attempted to use a friend’s driver’s license to enter a bar in the first block of West Chicago Avenue at 12:50 a.m.

7 Driving under the influence of alcohol: Timothy J. Lieberstein, 26, Lisle; charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding over the statutory limit and driving without valid insurance near the intersection of West Eighth Avenue and North Washington Street at 1:49 a.m.

8 Illegal transportation of alcohol: Nathaniel A. Tate, 26, Lemont; charged with interfering with an officer and illegal transportation of alcohol near the intersection of West Eighth Avenue and North Washington Street at 1:49 a.m.

9 Warrant: Ashley M. Mendoza, 22, of the 1600 block of Indian Trail Drive; arrested on a warrant in the 1600 block of Indian Trail Drive at 2:21 a.m.

10 DUI: Darrell R. Boisdorf, 28, Crest Hill; charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being involved in a crash near the intersection of Pebblewood Lane and North Route 59 at 2:33 a.m.

11 Leaving the scene of an accident: Jabril A. Anderson, 21, Woodridge; charged with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in vehicle damage at the intersection of West 75th Street and Modaff Road at 8:40 a.m. Anderson fled the scene and was later arrested at his home.

12 Found property: A purse was reported found in the 200 block of South Washington Street at 10:30 a.m.

13 Battery: A driver reported that after a minor crash, the offender hit him in the forehead with an open hand in the 500 block of Frontenac Court at 1:30 p.m.

14 Hit and run: A subject reported an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle while it was parked in the first block of East Chicago Avenue at 2 p.m., and the driver fled the scene.

15 Theft: A resident of the 2300 block of University Court reported that between 4 and 7 p.m. an unknown subject stole Christmas decorations from his front yard, which were later recovered several houses away in the snow.

16 Warrant: Thomas L. Reyno, 24, of Highland, California; arrested on a warrant in the 100 block of Olesen Drive at 7:53 p.m.

17 Disorderly conduct: Brionna Sharee-Shal Foster, 21, of the 400 block of Naper Boulevard; charged with disorderly conduct in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue at 11:58 p.m.

18 Disorderly conduct: Kiquan L. Walker, 20, of the 300 block of West Ogden Avenue; charged with disorderly conduct at 11:58 p.m. in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue.

Monday, Jan. 5

19 Hit and run: A driver reported her vehicle was hit by an unknown vehicle at the intersection of Interstate 88 and North Route 59 at 5:02 a.m., and the driver then fled the scene.

20 Suspicious incident: A resident in the 2600 block of Carrolwood reported an unknown subject shut off his gas between Sunday and 1:15 p.m.
