Police Report: Speeder found going 85 mph in a 45 zone

These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, the report includes when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.

Tuesday, Nov. 25

1 Theft: A complainant reported that he received a check in the mail in the 3500 block of Eliot Lane from a disc jockey job. He was instructed to distribute the money to several others involved in the job. After distributing the money to others, he was advised that the check was forged. This occurred between Nov. 9 and 25.

Tuesday, Dec. 9

2 Theft: A complainant reported that a ring and tennis bracelet were missing from the residence in the 800 block of Benedetti drive about 6 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 10

3 Warrant: Carlos S. Arauz, 24, of the 700 block of Royal St. George Drive; arrested on a warrant at his home about 4 a.m.

4 Burglary: An unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Benedetti Drive was entered between 12:15 and 7:15 a.m., and a wallet was stolen from inside the glove box.

5 Theft: A television was removed from an exercise facility at a hotel in the 1100 block of East Diehl Road about 9:15 a.m. but was later found abandoned in a stairwell.

6 Warrant: Raul Torres, 31, of the 2700 block of Cedar Glade Drive; arrested on two warrants at his home about 11:28 a.m.

7 Found property: A wallet was found near the intersection of 95th Street and South Route 59 at 2:29 p.m.

8 Warrant: Bryan M. Cool, 44, Oswego; arrested on a warrant in the 1300 block of Aurora Avenue at 4:09 p.m.

9 Hit and run: A complainant reported that a vehicle he was driving near the intersection of Naperville Boulevard and Ogden Avenue was struck by another vehicle about 5:37 p.m. Driver of the vehicle that struck him drove away.

10 Burglary from motor vehicle: A complainant notified police that a Naperville train station parking pass was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in the North Lot of the Route 59 train station in the 400 block of Fairway Drive. This theft occurred between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

11 Burglary: A resident of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive reported that apartment was burglarized between 6:15 a.m. and 6:05 p.m. Three firearms, jewelry and electronics were reportedly stolen.

12 Speeding: Edvinas Kaukauskas, 24, Aurora; charged with speeding in excess of 35 mph of the speed limit near the intersection of Leverenz Road and South Route 59 about 7:32 p.m. Driver was found going 85 mph in a 45 mph zone.

13 Driving under the influence: Javier Ochoa-Toscano, 18, Aurora; charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding over the statutory limit about 11:11 p.m. near the intersection of 103rd Street and South Route 59.
