Wednesday, Dec. 3
1 Theft: A complainant reported that his wallet, containing driver’s license and four credit/debit cards was stolen about 6 p.m. from the 1900 block of West Jefferson Avenue.
Thursday, Dec. 4
2 Suspicious incident: A resident reported that about 8:00 p.m., a male subject identifying himself as a WOW cable employee came to her door in the 300 block of Saw Mill Road and was insistent she open door. Resident called police and subject left.
Friday, Dec. 5
3 Warrant: Thomas H. Schrey. 53, of the 3700 block of Parador Drive; arrested on warrant at 11:19 a.m. in the 1300 block of Aurora Avenue.
4 Driving under the influence: Ivan H. Betance, 35, Aurora; charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving on a revoked/suspended license (second offense) at the intersection of South West Street and Aurora Avenue about 3:15 p.m.
5 Driving without a valid license: Shawn Napier-Thomatis, 47, Chicago; charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, driving without valid insurance, and driving with an expired registration at Timber Creek Lane and Plainfield Naperville Road about 4:39 p.m.
6 Criminal damage to property: A resident in the 2600 block of Deering Bay Drive reported damage to a parked car and to Christmas lights between 6:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
7 DUI: Rajeev K. Goswami, 42, of the 2000 block of Skylane Drive; charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speeds/driving too fast for conditions, driving without valid insurance and unlawful use of cellphone will driving a motor vehicle at the intersection of Book Road and 95th Street about 7:51 p.m.
8 Criminal damage to vehicle: A motorist reported that about 9:39 p.m. an unknown subject threw an item at his van, striking it on the hood and leaving minor scratched. The subject was seen running north from the area where incident occurred at the intersection of Lisson Road and Royce Road.
9 Battery: James S. Jackson, 34, of the 2500 block of Durango Lane; charged with battery and criminal trespass to a vehicle about 10:07 p.m. in the 2500 block of Durango Lane after yelling at victim for having her music too loud in her car.
10 Warrant: Eric E. Swanson, 23, of the 1400 block of Applegate Drive; arrested on warrant at his home about 9:32 p.m.
11 DUI: Jerry D. Pettis, 40, Oak Park; charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended/revoked license at 11:44 p.m. near the intersection of West Ogden and West Jefferson avenues.
Saturday, Dec. 6
12 Driving without a valid license: Erick Ortiz, 18, Aurora; charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions about 8:21 p.m. at the intersection of Deering Bay Drive and 95th Street.
13 Theft: Raymond N. Turnipseed, 45, Aurora; charged with theft, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Ambassador Drive about 12:29 a.m.
14 Criminal damage to property: A resident in the 1400 block of Severn Court reported her mailbox was damaged between 11:00 p.m. Friday and 10:42 a.m.
15 DUI: Steven G. Miller, 34, of the 1500 block of Fairway Drive; charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving in the wrong lane, and illegal possession/transporting alcohol about 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of North Route 59 and North Aurora Road. Report indicates driver swerved into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle head on. Both drivers were transported to hospital with minor injuries where Miller was later charged.
16 Possession of marijuana: Martrael R. Ricketts, 18, of the 1200 block of Natchez Trace Circle; charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 10:45 p.m. in the 500 block of South Washington Street.
17 Possession of marijuana: Paul M. Morris, 19, of the 200 block of Bailey Road; charged with possession of marijuana and not wearing a seatbelt in the 500 block of South Washington Street at 10:45 p.m.
