Naperville streets proved spooky for dozens of motorists over Halloween weekend.
Aided by grant funds from the Illinois Department of Transportation, local police pulled over drivers under a Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization that took place Oct. 31 through Nov. 2. The initiative is designed to reduce highway fatalities caused by impaired drivers.
Tickets issued at all hours during the three-day mobilization included six arrests for driving under the influence; 18 speeding citations; two drivers ticketed for driving without seat belts; and four who were charged with driving without insurance.
