Thursday, Nov. 13
1 Traffic crash: An injury resulted when a vehicle and pedestrian collided in the 1200 block of East Ogden Avenue between 1:30 and 2:03 p.m. No additional details were provided.
2 Theft: Multiple thefts were reported between noon Oct. 22 and 2:46 p.m. in the 800 block of South Washington Street.
3 Theft: Sirkevin M. Brown, 21, Naperville; arrested for retail theft in the first block of East Ogden Avenue about 4:33 p.m.
4 Burglary: Residents in the 1600 block of Westminster Driver reported about 7:05 p.m. that earlier in the day they went to work and, upon returning, discovered their residence had been broken into, with unspecified items missing.
5 Warrant: Giovanni P. Benitez, 31, Bolingbrook; was arrested on an oustanding warrant about 6:05 p.m. at police headquarters, 1350 Aurora Ave.
6 Underage alcohol possession: Tyler J. Newberry, 20, Bolingbrook, and Joseph J. Derbas, 18, Bolingbrook, were both charged with illegal possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor after the vehicle Newberry was driving collided with a parked car in the 200 block of Martin Avenue about 8:32 p.m. Police said Newberry then failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody, charged also with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to reduce speed/driving too fast to avoid an accident. Derbas also was charged on an outstanding warrant.
7 Underage alcohol possession: Jalen D. Spearman, 20, Aurora; arrested in the 2900 block of 95th Street about 9:49 p.m. and charged with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, speeding, driving on a suspended or revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle.
